Construction of a Ramp for disabled Students
Access to education is a human right, and it is vital that all students at Bethlehem Star can access their school facilities without impediment. Bethlehem school is having disabled people or those with reduced mobility who find difficulties in accessing school areas. The buildings used were designed in 2013 at that time accessibility to pupils with reduced mobility was not a priority.
The number of pupils with reduced mobility has increased and it is the Government policy that all public buildings must have proper infrastructures for disabled people. This includes construction of ramps ensuring the use of wheelchair, and comfort to students who might struggle to use on-site steps.
In its annual plan for the year 2023/24 Bethlehem Star is expecting to construct a ramp as a means of providing safe access to buildings for people of reduced mobility. This will cost TZS 15,000,000 which is equivalent to USD 6000. Find the cost details below
